Could Germany invade Russia in this modern age?

I've wondered, could Germany invade Russia again? In our modern age? Germany is very advanced militarily and have one of the best combat units in the world, hell, the Germans practically were the forefathers of special forces, paratroopers, nuke science and weaponry. When I say invade, I don't mean a Blitzkrieg, I mean a covert invasion of small teams trained in sabotage, reconnaissance, behind enemy lines assault etc. The Russians even today I don't think could stop an invasion of a fully trained and advanced Army.
