For Jews please: Is Judaism split into different sects like Christianity is?

In a way, yes. Judaism is split between mainly the Orthodox group, the Conservative group, the Reform group and the Reconstructionist group. Each group follows the written and oral traditions a bit differently, some more literally and traditionally than others. For example, the Orthodox group is the very religious-right. A sub-group of this is known as the Haredi, (a.k.a. Ultra-Orthodox), and are the most conservative and right-winged Jews of all. On the other hand, it is not uncommon to see a female Rabbi in a Reform synagogue. There are some others too, it'd be a good idea to do a little research on them.
